AustCham Shenzhen was founded in 2007 in response to the need to represent the growing number of Australians doing business in Shenzhen, and to help form ties with Chinese businesses investing in Australia or promoting Australian goods and services in China .

AustCham Shenzhen Limited was incorporated in March 2008 and is governed by the rules applicable to all Hong Kong incorporated entities and is managed by a ‘Founding Committee’ of volunteers who assist in planning events and activities. It has no paid employees.

The chamber is an inclusive organisation with a broad ranging constituency of both nationalities and commercial activities represented. The common link is a desire to develop and improve business relationships between Australia and China , with a particular focus on Shenzhen and the surrounding districts.
